Having held numerous positions as Head of Department, Kaley now works as Director of Curriculum within the community she grew up in. Kaley started HoDandHeart in October 2020 after putting herself out there to talk about Whole Class Feedback and being astounded at the amount of interest. From her experience in education, Kaley aims to provide research-informed CPD sessions for teachers and leaders, offering regular remote sessions via Zoom. In addition to her online sessions, Kaley has worked with numerous schools on a consultancy basis when it comes to curriculum.
From a ‘disadvantaged’ background herself, Kaley is incredibly passionate about providing social justice and inclusion through equitable learning of an academic, knowledge-rich curriculum, as well as supporting staff wellbeing through ethical leadership and authentic, transparent approaches that hold integrity at the core. Her CPD sessions are centered around these passions and range from classroom-based teaching, to whole-school initiatives, and approaches to leadership.
Kaley has successfully co-authored two ‘edubooks’ which are available to order by clicking on the covers below, has written numerous times for TES, and spoken at a number of ‘educonferences’ including ResearchEd.
